Is it time you rinsed your cottage cheese like an Ironman?
Dave Scott is probably the greatest Ironman, period. Winning the 🌍 championship 6 out of 10 appearances.
Amazingly, in the other 4 he placed 2nd three times & aged 42 finished a very respectable 5th.
People dubbed him the Roger Bannister of triathlons, as he was the first person to go under 10, 9, and then 8 hours 30.
Dave believed a low-fat, high-carbohydrate diet would give him an extra edge, even rinsing his cottage cheese to remove any excess fat.
Let’s be clear though, there is no evidence rinsing his cottage cheese, gave Dave the extra edge he needed to win.
But that’s not the point…
The point is, rinsing his cottage cheese was a discipline he was prepared to do, if it ‘might’ give him an advantage (no matter how small) to win.
We take 2 things from Dave Scott’s approach…
First, being disciplined in rinsing the access fat out of our operations, to make sure we are lean, so we can ride out the pandemic storm, whilst still providing world class service.
Second, is to stay true to our vision ‘to make office solutions affordable for all’ and be disciplined to make sure any pivots we must make, are still aligned to achieving this vision.
What about you?
…are you rinsing your cottage cheese too?
