Walmart (owner of Asda) have just unveiled their new membership program…
Walmart+ provides unlimited free delivery costing $12.95 a month (with a free trial period) according to a press release.
Walmart said it would “continue to have delivery options with transaction fees, giving customers a choice.”
Along with unlimited delivery, the service includes fuel discounts and Scan & Go checkout options.
And no doubt, it won’t be long before Walmart expand the subscription delivery model into Asda, its UK grocer.
Creating more pressure on local businesses, who are being continuously battered with the ongoing pandemic.
Although did you know there is a clear & simple way to fight back?
Provide fast & free delivery with no minimum order value, and no contract tie in. Enabling local people to buy from local companies.
It’s a great way to keep cash & jobs in the local economy.
