It was 10pm in late 2002 & the phone rang…
I was in Dublin on business representing my then employer.
“Darren I’ve never done this before and can’t do it on my own, I need you here or not at all”. Pleaded the caller.
In 2002 our first child arrived, and our world changed.
At the time, I was in London or across Europe constantly, spending 4 nights away from home, most weeks.
If I wanted to be part of my children’s story and keep my marriage alive. Something had to change.
I was at a crossroads in my business & personal life, and had a very important choice to make.
For me, it wasn’t difficult & took seconds to decide.
By early 2003 I’d quit my job & we’d started a micro business selling printer cartridges in our local town.
Unless your a born entreprenuer, like Richard Branson, there’s usually a reason you start a business.
What’s yours?
