Gooday. It’s business 📚 review time…
This week’s 📚 came highly recommended to me by Brother UK Managing Director & Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) Phil Jones.
‘Key Person of Influence’ written by serial entrepreneur, international speaker & best-selling author Daniel Priestley was 1st released in 2010 & later revised in 2014.
Daniel arrived in the UK in 2006, with nothing more than a suitcase & credit card. He knew nobody & only had a small budget to start a business.
Within a year he was 1 of the most connected entrepreneurs in London, could pick up the phone to any of his leading industry peers & went on to build a business turning over millions.
Daniel did all this by following a 5-step method, which made him 1 of the most highly valued & highly paid people in his industry.
‘Key Person of Influence’ is Daniels 5 step blueprint to become a KPI, as he calls it & if you follow the blueprint in the right order, there’s nothing to stop you becoming a KPI within your industry too.
In the book Daniel explains his thinking that the world has changed. How & why people buy is so different. Traditional marketing is no longer the way to get noticed & attract the right customers.
Digital has changed everything. Small organisations can now deliver high quality at a lower cost than the large organisations in many niches.
Yes, it’s about having great products in selected niche areas. But the key to success is to get noticed in all the noise. Which is where Daniel’s 5 step method to become a KPI comes into its own.
For someone who’s mission is to disrupt the office technology solutions industry, this 📚 has been a revelation & I’ll be certainly following Daniels 5 steps to become a KPI in our industry.
‘Key Person of Influence’ gets a 👍 & ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
