Our tree planting charity partner Shiva Trust are doing an amazing thing…

They are creating kits for children to grow veg at home.

This is to support the children of families they already provide food parcels too, who are suffering from poverty / holiday hunger.

In total they’re making 100 kits for Burnley and Rossendale children

They’re also making the kit environmentally friendly, with the kit’s being plastic and peat free, whilst posting an appeal on Facebook to help raise funds towards the initiative.

The kits will contain a book (Anywhere Farm), 5 different veg/herb seeds, lolly pop sticks as identification markers, coconut coir as growing medium, 5 compostable pots and a fact sheet.
