Did you know the Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) will be switched off in December 2025?
This means there will no longer be a requirement for traditional fixed line telephony and analogue services, as traditional fixed lines and calls will cease to exist.

As technology has changed, and telephone services can now be provided in a quality and stable way over the internet, Openreach priorities have changed. Openreach are only focused on developing the fibre network and will not provide internet telephone services.
Mark Logan (an Openreach Director) said in a statement. ‘In September 2023 we intend to stop selling products reliant on the PSTN, and in December 2025 we intend to withdraw all products reliant on the PSTN.
