For us a guarantee is a promise with #certainty…
A friend recently bought a used 🚘. It came with a 6 months #guarantee.
Within 3 months the 🚘 experienced major problems.
My friend took it back to the garage.
To be told ‘the guarantee was with a 3rd party & the 3rd party needs to authorise the work before we’ll fix the 🚘’.
On contacting the 3rd party my friend found there was a £300 ceiling on any work carried out under the guarantee.
The work came to £500. My friend was £200 out of pocket.
This is not a #promise with certainty…
Yes. My friend should have read all the terms & conditions before buying the 🚘.
But also. The garage should be transparent about the terms of the 3rd party guarantee too.
