Yesterday Adam (our technician) got hit from behind whilst sat in stationary traffic with the hand break on.
The impact was so hard, as well as writing off our Nemo van, it shunted Adam into the back of the car in front, causing much damage. Even with the hand-break on.
Through the drivers side mirror Adam spotted a car approaching fast, heard the screech and held his breath for impact.
Luckily Adam (except for some bruising) and the people in front we’re all ok.
The two lads who caused the accident writing off our van and their own vehicle, jumped out, got something from the boot and did a runner.
Luckily for us and unlucky for them the crash was right outside Rochdale police station, and the police officers were straight after the fleeing fugitives.
Arresting them they search them and their vehicle, and as well as charging them for driving with no insurance (that really hurt), fleeing the seen of an accident, they’ve also got them for possessing and being under the influence of drugs.
Obviously the van is finished and Adam was stranded, so I hightailed to Rochdale to make sure he was ok, and get him safely back home.
Do you know what amazed me and made me feel really proud?
He was more worried about missing his last maintenance call to service a printer, funnily enough it was at a vehicle repair garage just round the corner.
Adam proves great customer service is part of the fabric of our team.
