Amazingly, our tree planting exploits have received royal approval…
Our planting and charity partner (Shiva Trust) have registered a selection of the tree’s we’ve planted at Meadows Farm and Animal Sanctuary with the Queens Green Canopy.
The Queen’s Green Canopy is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, inviting people to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”.
The back story:
Meadows Farm & Animal Sanctuary in Water (Rossendale) was created by charity Shiva Trust, based on the idea of Social Farming.
The farm remains a typical working farm where people in need of support can benefit from participation in the farm’s activities. It also reconnects farmers with their local communities.
It provides sanctuary for rescued animals, natural habitats for wildlife, and space for environment projects.
It’s also a wonderful safe environment, and an amazing support for team members and volunteers to get involved with nature to develop their physical and mental fitness.
We’re proud to be involved with Shiva Trust at Meadows Farm, and together (with the help of our customers) have planted 3,000 trees.
During April we planted another 10 trees for those customers who have benefited from a home or office print and scan office technology solution.
Something new for May. Trees produce paper, and organisations require to print certain documents. So, any organisations buying a paper pallet, we’ll plant you a tree too to replace what you’ve used.
…doing this is helping the environment and Shiva Trust in a small and affordable way.
