The most amazing tree thing happened…
You know about our plant a tree campaign, don’t you?
Where we and a group of other local businesses have pledged to plant trees on behalf of our customers, to help in the fight against de-forestation and climate change.
And that now, we’re working in conjunction with mental health charity Shiva Trust, to help them plant up their land, as trees provide a tranquil environment to aid recovery.
Well, I put a message out to our member organisations just the other day, asking if any needed more trees to allocate to their customers.
Unbelievably a barrage of requests came flooding back, totaling a need for another 360 trees, which completely wiped us out of our tree stock.
So, today we’ve put an order in for another 400 trees, which Shiva Trust will be planting in the coming weeks and months.
This brings the total number of trees planted (excluding those planted independently by Shiva Trust) by our member organisations, to a fantastical 1,120.
