Haslingden based MY Total Office Solutions has launched a ‘Plant a Tree’ campaign to help reverse climate change
Managing Director, Darren Turner said. “We’ve been thinking for some time, how a small business like ours, could influence climate change in a positive way”
“Seeing pictures of the Amazon on fire stirred something within us. First anger, then frustration & finally disappointment. Then it struck us like a lightning bolt”
“Trees are the answer. Trees suck carbon dioxide out of the air & if we plant enough, our theory was, it can have a massive impact on climate change”
After carrying out some intensive research. Darren found his theory is backed up by scientists & was covered in a Guardian article.

‘Planting billions of trees is by far the biggest & cheapest way to tackle the climate crisis. As trees grow, they absorb and store the carbon dioxide emissions driving global heating’.
The scientists research estimate, a worldwide planting programme could remove two-thirds of all the emissions that have been pumped into the atmosphere by human activities. A figure the scientists describe as “mind-blowing”.
Darren continued. ‘So, that’s what we are going to do. Plant some trees. But we’re not going to do it alone. Our customers are going to help us too.

For every print technology contract agreed from 1st October, MY Total Office Solutions will be planting a tree for that person or organisation. Providing each of them with a certificate to show when & where it was planted.
