No, we didn’t win it!
But, to be shortlisted down to the final 6 for the most entrepreneural company of the year in the Northwest, is a fantastic acheivement and one that makes us all proud.
Great thanks goes out to our team and our suppliers. But most importantly a massive THANK YOU goes out to all our customers, as without you, this would not be possible.
It was a night of celebration for all our great businesses in the Northwest. With many awards being contested, from the International Trade Award through to Manufacturer of the Year, with many more in between.
The key note speech was undertaken by Nicholas Wheeler (pictured), entrepreneur and owner of Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts, which he has grown from nothing to a £200 million business and employs over 1,000 people. Nicholas was quite clear about what has made him successful. Find something you are good at, stick with it through thick and thin, never waver from your core values and deliver with world class service.
Our host for the night was Justin Moorhouse (comedian) and on occasions it was just like being in the Comedy Club or the Frog & Bucket in Manchester. He was laugh a minute and at one stage he started to get heckled, but by god, how he replied. I can’t print it here, but I don’t think the gentleman concerned will be pulling that little stunt again!
It amazing to think a small business like ours, can be recognised as leading innovators, and although, we still have a very long way to go in our quest to be a world leading print solutions and office supplies business, this was a great leap forward on our journey.
