What a great service…
We’ve long lorded the subscription model & on a recent business trip to china (before pandemic) we came across a monthly subscription bike hire service, which was fantastic.
But this one’s different & is in the UK!
The Bike Club are changing the way you can buy bikes for your children, aiming to make cycling more affordable & sustainable for families.
They offer a flexible monthly subscription letting you pay for your child’s bike as they use them, instead of having to shell out up front. It costs around £5 to £15 per month.
When your child grows out of the bike, you can exchange it for a bigger one. And it’s green too. Your old bike gets refurbished & goes back out to another home.
There is no long-term tie in. Meaning you can cancel or upgrade at any time. Paying an extra £29.99 cancelation charge or a £19.99 early upgrade fee.
Although. If you keep a bike for 18 months you can upgrade for free & if you stay with the same bike for 32 months, you get to keep it.
We liken it to our family, student & home working printer technology solution (Infinity).
We’re we provide ‘fit for purpose’ wireless multifunction printers with unlimited replacement cartridges for £9.99 +vat (£11.99) a month, which you can cancel anytime without charge.
The only difference. Everything is included with no extra charges. Such as lifetime warranty & support, replacement cartridges (delivered fast & free) and a fixed priced lifetime guarantee too.
We even provide a free upgrade path to our other office solutions. Things like more robust feature rich printer technologies & our laptop with Microsoft Office 365 bundle subscription.
We must admit though.
The Bike Club have really thought hard about how they can provide an affordable solution to families, when looking to fund their children’s bikes as they grow.
…can you do something similar with your products and service?
